Neel is a qualified chartered accountant from KPMG with over 30 years’ experience as a Finance Director and CFO. He has a track record of delivering business improvement through growth, stronger cash flow, and profitability. His broad sector experience covers technology, business services, healthcare, and waste management.
During his earlier career, Neel spent 15 years at Dell Technology progressing to an Executive Level. He also held roles within marketing and sales operations to broaden his skill set. Adopting role of a CFO business partner across multiple divisions, he improved margins by 1.5% through tighter pricing control, account profitability reviews, and contract renegotiation specialising in the SME sector.
As European CFO at Dun & Bradstreet, he restructured the business improving revenue performance from -6% to +4%. He also rebuilt the finance teams and re-designed KPIs and business management information.
Most recently, at Stericycle, he held a combined CFO and COO role for the international business. He recovered around £5m in VAT and redesigned order-to-cash processes to improve collection. He also led finance on a new Dynamics 365 ERP implementation, overhauled the control environment, closed several tax investigations, and led the sale of multiple loss-making divisions. The International business was eventually sold, and Neel was instrumental in enabling that.
